I built my first hot rod when I was 14. Since then I've lost tract. I've had rods, customs, sand
buggies, dragsters & lots of show cars. I was a mechanic, machinist, designer, fabricator, race
car driver, taught high school & junior college automotive and wood working. Along the way I've
owned several businesses but my most favorite job of all was that of Cruise Director onboard
the Mississippi Queen paddlewheel boat.
I don't tell you any of this to try & impress you but rather to show I've been blessed to be able
to pursue what I considered my dreams, at least at that time. When you buy the build package,
you will find a more detailed biography in the book.
puddlejumpercars.com & bobs-toyshop.com
are my two websites. My job in life, since I
retired from school teaching, is to create &
build projects and along the way take
pictures & write descriptions & instructions
on how YOU can build the same thing in your
own shop at home.
I write the instructions as if I were building
the "project" for the very first time and
knew very little about it. I want them to be
concise & to the point. I also have the
tendency to write with a bit of humor &
sarcasm. That's just my style & has been for
years. My point is I think the instructions
are EASY to follow & understand. If not, I'm
just a phone call or email away.
